    Just finished up at #MDAnderson #IntegratedMedicine.  Had a great appointment to work on #meditation with Dr. Alejandro Chaoul!!!! 1st PET Scan Results after quiting chemo December 15, 2014 and going with an Alternative

PET scan results were BEST EVER!!!!!!!!! On December 15th I made a personal choice that I would no longer continue chemotherapy and try something different. I jumped on a plane right after New Years and changed EVERYTHING in my life after going to Hawaii to focus on my health. Since home my days consist only of taking care of myself and this Monday was my first scan. After about 5 weeks of COMPLETE lifestyle change my tumors activity cut in half, the best results I have had since starting treatment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trying not to cry every time I think about how exciting this is!!!!!!!!!!!! Still have lots of hard work, but incredibly motivated to take my life back from cancer. Also had my sister and Garrick with me today 🙂 ~...

Chemo Update

Quit Chemo December 15, 2014, had enough finally. Since its World Cancer Day, thought posting a more detailed update of my most recent decisions I have made in my life. I was diagnosed at 14, with reoccurrences at 20, 23, and 30 with acinic cell carcinoma. I have been on chemo for almost 3 years and have been battling this now for 18 years. For the first time in my life I am learning to truly take care of myself and take responsibility for my health. I have struggled all my life with sugar and food, always wondering if it was an addiction. I wake up and spend every moment of my life working on my health and healing, but I don’t regret for a moment the decisions I have made and look forward to a healthy and cancer free...
