Seriously one of the happiest days I have had in years!!!!!!!!!! Thank god for my sister, she helped me get this done and I am incredibly THANKFUL!! This is going to make a major improvement to my quality of life!!!!!!!!!! 🙂 I have been in and out of the hospital for years now, struggled with energy and found maintaining my new health regimen is very challenging when constantly on the go and at a clinic (for iv c). Back at #MDAnderson again today with Dr. Powers at #IntegratedMedicine!!! Have been working with her once a week for a while on #stress , #mindfulness , #CognitiveTherapy , etc….. Pre January I missed appointments frequently and now actually look forward to seeing my Doctor every week!!! She has given me so many tools and ways to communicate and deal with stress more effectively. Cancer can be extremely stressful so having a therapist for me has really improved my quality of life in many ways. Thankful for another awesome doctor on my team 🙂 ~ Jamie ...

Quit Chemo December 15, 2014, had enough finally. Since its World Cancer Day, thought posting a more detailed update of my most recent decisions I have made in my life. I was diagnosed at 14, with reoccurrences at 20, 23, and 30 with acinic cell carcinoma. I have been on chemo for almost 3 years and have been battling this now for 18 years. For the first time in my life I am learning to truly take care of myself and take responsibility for my health. I have struggled all my life with sugar and food, always wondering if it was an addiction. I wake up and spend every moment of my life working on my health and healing, but I don’t regret for a moment the decisions I have made and look forward to a healthy and cancer free...
